Transforming Lives
Through Code
Our mission is to democratize quality Python education in Sri Lanka, empowering individuals with the skills needed to thrive in the global technology landscape.
Back to HomeOur Journey
PyCodeLK was born from a simple observation: Sri Lanka's brightest minds were leaving the island to pursue technology careers elsewhere. In January 2021, our founding team recognized that the gap wasn't talent—it was access to world-class technical education that connected local learners with global opportunities.
Our founders, experienced software engineers who had worked across Silicon Valley, London, and Singapore, understood that traditional computer science curricula often failed to prepare students for the practical realities of modern software development. Python, with its versatility and growing dominance in web development, data science, and automation, presented the perfect foundation for career transformation.
Starting with our first cohort in March 2021, we set out to create more than just another coding bootcamp. We built a comprehensive ecosystem that addresses the unique challenges faced by Sri Lankan developers: from understanding international best practices to building confidence in global remote work environments.
Today, our graduates work at companies ranging from local fintech startups to international tech giants. They've founded their own ventures, led development teams, and contributed to open-source projects that impact millions of users worldwide. This transformation stories drive our continued commitment to excellence in Python education.
